Christmas Eve

Well, here we are at yet ANOTHER Christmas Eve and no baby in our home. I must admit that it really hasn't hit me until today. Last year, we were so looking forward to this year and sharing our lives with our baby and then here we are with NO baby and things being soooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow in China. We're trying to be patient and stay busy but the holidays just have a way of making you feel so nostalgic and "family-oriented" so we miss being able to share Christmas with a little one of our own. I pray that this will be the last Christmas without our Rebekah and may Heavenly Father keep her safe and in the hands of those who will love her and take care of her until we can as her Mommy and Daddy. Merry Christmas to all of our family and friends.....keep those prayers coming on our behalf. We truly appreciate them! Here's our tree this year and some other Christmas decorations in and around our home. The Chinese Barbie ornament was one we found at Hallmark and put it on the tree in honor of our future baby from China. We were surprised to find it! One picture is of our kitty, Savannah who LOVED to lay on the presents under the tree!

Hi there, I noticed you are using ABC in Roanoke. My husband and I are living in CA but we LOOOOVE Roanoke and miss it sooo much!! (Really!!) I love the fall there...I worked at Roanoke Memorial for a few years while we were stationed there...we hope to come back East and eventually settle there. It's a nice quiet place to live where the families really care about each other. We lived in the Raleigh Court area...in fact right down the street, from the ABC office.

Anyway, we are a Marching Panda family (SN) waiting for TA for our little girl in Guangxi...hopefully we will get it soon. Did you know the China Connection newsletter is out of Roanoke? Let me know if you want more info!

Take care, Merry Christmas and Good Luck for a 2007 referral!

Hi - I was DTC March 2005 and returned from China March 2006 it was tough (not as tough as now though the waits are even longer) but it was so worth it! ANd I remember feeling exactly that way LAST Christmas... no baby! Though we did have her pic - we thought we would be referred in Sept 05... there is no way to say that one day you will look back on this and only remember that you were waiting for the ONE baby you were supposed to meet! You cat Tabby looks alot like my cat Calliope (Cali for short)!! I have a Tortise Shell and a Calico!

Hang in there! It really will be worth it in the end!
