Mabrey Mill and National Weather Center in Blacksburg, VA

Doug and I spent Saturday morning at the National Weather Center in Blacksburg, VA with the Danville CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). We love being a part of this organization that seeks to provide emergency assistance to the community in times of need or disaster. They teach you how to take care of your own family and neighborhood in a disaster and then to reach out further to the community. We learned how the weather center plays a vital part to alerting communities in Weather emergencies. It was GREAT! We then took a drive on a small part of the Blue Ridge Parkway and then visited Mabrey Mill! It was beautiful to see the Fall Foliage and to spend the day with our CERT friends!
