New Picture of the Girls

Just took a new photo of the girls. Tabitha is the Calico, Savannah is the grey/black striped tabby, and Chelsea is the black and white tuxedo kitty! Aren't they CUTE? They are our babies!

WE HAVE A SNUGLI!

Well, the shopping trip also included our SNUGLI! I've read so many articles and testimonials about how carrying the baby in a carrier close to you can promote attachment and bonding. So, when we saw the Snugli at Baby's Are Us we went ahead and got it. I came home and tried it out with a Cabbage Patch Doll (we didn't take any pictures of THAT! hahahahahaha). It's a very interesting contraption and I hope our baby will enjoy it. Some of the babies I've read about wouldn't stay in it and cried the whole time and it ended up being a waste of money. We'll see if little Rebekah will like it.

Cute New Clothes For Baby!

Ok I am really starting to enjoy this baby clothes shopping bug that has bitten me! Saturday Doug and I went to nearby Lynchburg, VA and shopped around....basically just hanging out enjoying the unseasonably warm day (in the 60's). It was beautiful and the mountains were so pretty! We were buying some things for our secret pals and found some cute stuff for baby Rebekah too!

We got a little pooh shirt/jeans set that has lace at the bottom of the jean cuffs and some cute pink pajamas with a cat on it (OF COURSE!) and then I saw the gawdiest pair of capri pants that look like they came straight from the 60's! I just HAD to get them even though Doug couldn't believe that our baby girl is going to wear these "groovy" things one day! hahahahahahahaha Check out the pics!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Well, today is the Chinese New Year! It is the "year of the pig/boar" but let's hope it will be "the year of the BABY" for us! We hope that this year will find us traveling to China and meeting our baby girl! Let's hope and pray that all of that comes about and hopefully in a "speedy" manner! hahahahahahaha, We're tired of waiting!
Keep remembering us in your thoughts and prayers!

The MOST beautiful little dress in the world!

Ok, I did it.......I got the prettiest, frilliest little dress in the world and now I am sooooooooooo hooked on baby clothes! This little dress is from Dollywood and is a Lid'l Dolly dress straight from Pigeon Forge, TN (I LOVE TENNESSEE and used to live in Nashville for a brief period of my life). I LOVE LOVE LOVE the layers and layers of lace and frills! ! It is a 2T because I wanted to make sure that I didn't get something too small and figured that our baby girl can grow into it, PLUS I can get a smaller one that is her size once we KNOW what her size will be! hahahahahahaha It's red with white lace and white frilly froo froo! hahahahahahaha

I also got her a little dress in a bigger size that is a "Rebecca Raggs" original. It has Noah's Ark animals all over it and is very "country looking". It's cute, but the Lid'l Dolly is my favorite!

10 MONTHS DOWN.......HOW MANY MORE?????

Well, yesterday was the 10 month LID-IVERSARY of our dossier being logged in with the CCAA. How many more months are we going to have to wait? Who knows. The only thing we can do is hang in there and try to focus on the end result. It's NOT easy, but there's nothing we can do at this point. I think that's why this is so hard, because we have nothing to do but think of that baby and long to hold her in our arms and have be a part of our lives. That's hard for me to accept.
Anyhow, we'll keep plugging along and maybe one day the wait will come to an end and we'll be with our baby Rebekah! Keep praying for us!

CCAA Updates Website

Hey everyone!

Every month the China Center of Adoption Affairs puts a report on the lower right side bar. Here is this month's.
The CCAA has finished the review of the adoption application documents registered with our office before March 22, 2006.

The CCAA has finished the placement of children for the families whose adoption application documents were registered with our office before October 13, 2005.

Here is the link for CCAA.http://www.china- ccaa.org/ frames/index_ unlogin_en. jsp

All of that means that hopefully they will be reviewing the rest of March and grab the April dossiers next. Ours is April 5, 2006 so we hope that they will find that everything is in perfect condition and will approve our dossier. They have sent referrals (pictures/information about the babies) to families who had LIDs before October 13, 2005. Gosh, it is a LONG process but we're trying to think only of that baby girl that will be ours at the end of the journey. Keep praying for us!
