Cute Little Pooh Outfit!

Ok, I told myself that I wasn't going to buy clothing for Rebekah until we got a referral and knew what age/size she was. I just couldn't resist! The other night we went out to dinner and on the way back we did some shopping. I saw this little winter outfit in lime green and with the cutest little "Pooh pants"! You can see the pants up close in one picture. I just had to buy it so I bought it old enough for her to hopefully grow in to. I hope she doesn't hit that size in the middle of SUMMER! hahahahahahaha I just had to do it!

January Goody Box From Secret Pals!

Well our secret pals certainly surprised us with this month's goody box. The theme was "Chinese New Year" and we had NO idea what to expect. Mr. and Mrs. Secret Pal tried to send us some things that we could pull out each year when we celebrate the Chinese New Year. They sent a book called, "ChinaTown", a calendar about China with the prettiest pictures of China in it, a wooden Chinese girl statue, an ornament made of Chinese coins, a Chinese lantern that lights up, a beautiful scroll with Chinese writing on it (the box that it came in also is JUST written in Chinese). They also sent a BEAUTIFUL Chinese New Year card (I haven't been able to find these anywhere). Whoever they are, they sure go way above and beyond what we expected from Secret Pals. They always send us the kindest cards and emails (anonymously, of course) and each month we look sooooooooooooooooooooo forward to seeing what will arrive on our doorstep. They are the BEST! Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Secret Pal!

Getting The Rocking Chair Pads Made

Well yesterday I took the cloth that I had picked out for the rocking chair pads to The Hatcher Center. They will make the pads to fit the rocker. I chose a dark fabric with purple in it to go with the lilac paint of the nursery and I wanted a dark color to hide any stains that might come along from having a little one. I can't wait to see how it turns out! I'm also going to get them to sew my 100 Wishes Quilt as soon as I have a 100 wishes! hahahahahaha Here's the fabric I picked out.

December Secret Pal Goodies Arrived TODAY!

What wonderful timing! Here it is our 9 month LID-iversary and we get a box of WONDERFUL goodies from our March DTC Secret Pals! We could not BELIEVE how generous and thoughtful our secret pals were to us this month! The theme for December was "Toys For Tots," but our secret pals sent goodies for ALL OF US! They are the best and both Doug and I have come to think of them as friends! They write us beautiful notes and send us emails anonymously and we just love them!
This month they sent:
1. Two books: Shaoey and Dot, and Daddy's Girl!
2. A Hallmark ornament that says, "Expecting Parents"
3. A Panda ornament
4. Three cat toys for the girls! They took those and ran off!
5. A little toy that has a teething ring, a linking chain, a ladybug that squeaks and has wings that crinkle (perfect to take to China when we go)
6. A gift card for Toys-R-Us (where we are registered)
7. A STeven Curtis Chapman Christmas CD that made me cry because it has his adoptive daughter from China, Shaoey, reading the Christmas story from the Bible and then she sings with him, "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". It is WONDERFUL!
8. A Christmas bib that says, "A little stocking stuffer"
9. A card and gift card from OUTBACK Steakhouse for our anniversary! (which was Dec. 23rd: our sixth!)
They just BLEW us away with all of this! THANK YOU! We are DYING to know who Mr. and Mrs. Secret Pal are! We hope that we get to meet them one day and just STAY FRIENDS FOREVER!!!!!!! BIG HUGS to our Secret Pals!

Our 9-Month LID-iversary!

Well, it has been NINE WHOLE months since we were logged in at the CCAA in China. If this was a biological pregnancy, we'd be delivering our baby........BUT with a "paper pregnancy" our delivery is VERY unpredictable. We've heard rumors that CCAA is up to a 14-15 month wait between LID and referral so if that is true, we have five or six more months to go before we receive a referral and know who are baby girl will be. I can't help but wonder if she's been born yet. We asked for a young baby and I have heard that the youngest you can hope for would be six months old so maybe she hasn't even been born yet. We will hang in there and get ready for our baby girl and hope that things will speed up. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! We hope that whoever our baby is and wherever she is right now, that Heavenly Father will bless her with people in her life to take care of her and love her until we are in the position to love her beyond measure!
